L.I.F.E.
Lead. Influence. Focus. Engage.
Teens need more than just a onetime just-say-no message. We
understand that they need consistent support and encouragement
to make positive decisions. It was out of our desire to provide
them with that support that our L.I.F.E. Group Program was born.
Our C.A.P presentations give them knowledge and our L.I.F.E.
Groups give them the skills they need to make positive decisions
and give them direction for their lives.
Through these groups we want to cultivate student leaders
who will influence their peers, focus on the futures, and engage
the world around them. These groups are based on an asset driven
model, which simply means that instead of giving students a long
list of what not to do we are going to tell them what they can
do. They can be responsible, motivated, leaders and we are going
to show them how to develop those assets in a L.I.F.E. Group.
Currently we offer this program in 4 Bradley County schools
with plans to expand to the city schools in the next few years.
The schools we serve now are:
Lake Forest Middle
School
Ocoee Middle School
Walker Valley High
School
Bradley Central High School
We want to be a resource for these students to draw from
anytime they need help. We are going to help them reach their
goals and give back to the community they are a part of. Once a
student has been involved with a Group for at least a year, they
can come back and help lead one. We know that peer pressure work
both ways, and by providing student leaders who will make
positive decisions we can reach far beyond the classroom. If you
are interested in joining a Group, or you would like for us to
begin a Group in your school, please contact:
